I can only speak to my experience trying to book an appointment with Dr. Fontious. The office staff - Becky - kept asking about and in comments said to me talked poorly of working with Aetna insurance. After 10 minutes of this I find out the exam I needed (an annual prostate exam), is something this (family practice) doctor does not perform. This surprised me, as the doctors website mentions family medicine, routine gynological exams, and other annual procedures one would assume a family doctor would do? When Becky told me the doctor doesn’t perform that specific test, she got very awkward and defensive when I asked why Dr Fontius chooses to perform some basic procedures but not others. I’m left with the impression by this outfit they they don’t want to deal with certain insurance companies, and they pick and choose what they do and don’t do. They’re looking out for #1, and that didn’t feel like that was me.
