I saw Dr Bugg for a while when she was based in Colorado. As I look back at that the time I saw her, I now realize there were serious boundary issues that I should have reported at the time. Her care led me down a more destructive path than I was on to begin with. Gaslighting, shame, cold, bullying, abuse of power, manipulative are all descriptors that come to mind when I think of her bedside manner. If you truly want to grow and improve, I strongly recommend exploring other options before seeing her. She may not be abusive to all her patients but I can confidently say after several years of work with a different therapist, dr Bugg Wright crossed ethical boundaries and abused her power for her own benefit. I have no doubt I’m not the only one.
