She refused to see me (when my doctor at the same practice retired) because I asked her to continue writing my Rx (that my previous doc prescribed for year) and insisted I pay the $50 to get the same meds from a pain doc.  When I told her I couldn't afford the $50 pain doc co-pay she told me I could no longer receive treatment at her office.  She then put a letter in my file and I am now unable to find a doctor affiliated with Dekalb Medical who will see me.  It's been month's that I've been without medical care because of Dr. Burkmar.  Go anywhere else.
