Dr. Jeannette Aidee Wong-Powell, OD

My visit with Dr. Powell showed me two things: she is exceptionally rude and lacks empathy. I have been going to the UIW Eye Care facility for years and I have never been met with someone who treated me like I wasn't worth their time. Normally I'm met with bright-eyed and cheery students eager to learn and practice medicine, and honestly this visit was just that.....until Jeannette walked in. She proceeded to dispute everything I said I was feeling in my eyes, as well as tell the student Doctor that she was wrong in her diagnosis, in front of me, and dismissed my visit as a case of allergies. How can a Doctor tell me that severe and sudden vision loss is a case of allergies? 

I have since gone to a different clinic entirely where they've confirmed the student Doctor's diagnosis from UIW. Perhaps Jeannette was having a bad day, but never in my life have I felt so mistreated by a Doctor.
