Dr. James Calamia, DO

At first I wanted a different care provider because the one that I currently have was not very good to me and then I tried to change providers as I met a doctor there that was rotating and her and I clicked and I said and she told me she had room and then they change the story that she didn't she didn't change the story though the office did and I had to remain seeing this doctor but after I think he got talked to or something because he he changed significantly to a lot better doctor listening you know being more caring to the patient you know like we like I really mattered and anyway I saw a massive change in him and I appreciate it otherwise I was going to change the doctor's offices and I still may but that's because I moved but had he not changed I wouldn't have been at that office anymore.

Dr. Calamia is a top-notch doctor! I have a lot of confidence in his knowledge. I appreciate how well he listens and allows me my opinions, while providing facts and sound advise. Since I started seeing Dr. Calamia I have overcome obesity and a number of complications from that condition such as diabetes, colitis, barrett's disease and anxiety. These are all things that doctors over the past 15 years were not able to treat correctly. Very grateful to have found him. I am healthier than I have been in decades.

Was seeing Dr. Calamia for the first time after my primary left the company. It did take 6 months to get in to see him as a new patient but I believe I'll get in more quickly now that I'm an established patient. Dr. Calamia was excellent. Spent so much time getting to know me and was the first person in over 10 years that was actually able to help with ongoing pain and numbness issues. I'm actually excited to have him as my doctor.

Dr. Calamia's schedule is full 2-4 months in advance. There don't seem to be enough providers at this clinic to handle demand. Other than availability, Dr. Calamia is a fantastic provider, and we love that he sees both me and my spouse. We really value that relationship. The reception staff was effective, but not courteous. It was obvious that they were working on something else and my check out process was treated as a nuisance.

Very thankful for calling with something on a Friday and being worked In for something that I would have had to go to urgent care for over a 3 day weekend. The provider and team made me a priority and performed an in office procedure at the end of the day. They were kind, caring and I did not feel like a nuisance. Very appreciative of the care I received. They called later the next week to check on me.

Dr. Calamia was wonderfully gracious in our first meeting. His knowledge, attentiveness, and thoughtfulness reassured me that he will be a superb provider going forward. I truly appreciate him and his expertise.My compliments to the receptionist, receiving attendant, and lab work specialist who helped me as well. Warmth and courtesy were abundant during my entire visit.

Dr. James Calamia is my PCP. He is definitely among the highest quality health professionals that's cared for me throughout my lifetime. He is also among the most considerate. He works with great foresight. He's very thorough, very wise. He's always made great referrals to specialists that I trust and admire as much as I respect him. He really knows what he's doing.

Dr. Calamia has been my primary care provider for several years now and I have always been very pleased with the care he has provided. I've never had any difficulty getting in to see him when necessary and he is prompt in responding to MyChart emails I have sent him. He is personable and listens to my questions or concerns. I have no complaints.

Dr Calamia is very kind, listens to me attentively & gives helpful direction. I was given choices as to the degree of direction of my care as well. As a caregiver myself I appreciated his concerns for my mental/physical health. Very grateful to have been under his treatment. Front desk was also very helpful with setting me up with televisit!

Dr. Calamia is a wonderful doctor. He is very kind, caring, and knowledgeable. Unfortunately it is very hard to make an appointment with him. That is my only complaint. He knows this and has called me on his lunch hour to discuss my health issues as I was unable to see him soon enough. He is great at responding to messages in MyChart.
