I set up an appointment with them online on June 17th for July 20th and the day before ( after sending me numerous text msgs in prior weeks and days confirming the appt ) they call me to ask what I was coming in for and that they needed to reschedule my appt anyways the rude woman on the line never apologized for the inconvenience or anything she simply said online appts are for emergencies only when it doesn’t say that anywhere on their website and why is it my problem no one notices this in the month leading up to this appt till just now ? Then after I said I would call back to reschedule she does on her own & unknown to me sets up an appt for the next day which I promptly cancelled. I won’t be returning to this place ever. They obviously don’t care about their customers and prefer to completely waste your time. Totally unprofessional . Hopefully this can save someone from making a big mistake.
I went to the West Hartford location as a new patient. The receptionist I called to make the appointment never told me that Dr. Gish wouldn’t actually be there, so I still have not met him. The hygienist was TERRIBLE. She did an additional procedure that was essentially extra scraping WITHOUT ASKING ME OR TELLING ME WHAT SHE WAS DOING and she of course did not tell me I’d have to pay out of pocket for the extra procedure. I got the bill, called the office asking why I was charged and once they told me I had an extra procedure, I told the receptionist I never consented to it and would’ve said no to it if asked. She said she’d speak with her manager and call me back the next day, which was days ago and I still haven’t heard. I think this hygienist is scamming people into extra procedures that aren’t necessary. Why does she get to even decide that I need this procedure when the actual doctor never even looked at my teeth?
This was my first time going to this dentist, and I was not impressed. He didn't ask anything about me, about my dental history, any concerns, or anything else. He shook my hand and looked at my teeth for maybe 20 seconds. He said "looks good" and left. I was expecting to talk about my dental history, perhaps a little about myself, hear about his background, and listen to concerns he had about my teeth. Nothing. I have a slightly chipped tooth, my molars are flattened from when I was grinding my teeth before my night guard, and I have never had any cavities. He didn't comment on any of that. Further more, the cleaning I received was decent, but nowhere near the quality of the cleanings I got at my previous dentists. I will say that the hygienist was polite though. I never went back.
