Dr. Anwar is terribly awful. I was seen by Dr. Anwar for almost a year. He has no bedside manner, does not listen when speaking, and he constantly pronounces names incorrectly after being corrected. His way for treating most of my problems were through ordering blood tests and suggesting natural remedies instead of medication. I had to file a complaint so he could finally start to prescribe medication. I had terrible stomach problem and had to leave work. I had no way of getting to the office so I requested a virtual visit. On the virtual visit, Dr. Anwar told me I had to come in office for him to diagnose and would not write me a work note. If that were the case, why didn't a nurse call me to cancel the televisit? Instead, I was forced to pay for a televist that DID NOT offer medical advice but rather a conversation to come in the office. Dr. Anwar wastes time, makes you have to come in office for copays, he commonly says he's unsure, and always running unnecessary blood tests that lead to more blood tests that result at dead ends, which he then tries to send you else where to figure out what is wrong. I really hope no one has to go through what I have gone through. The only thing Christiana Care does is give you a new doctor but does not fix the problems. I have filed complaints and know they are not being communicated to Dr.Anwar because nothing has changed. Something needs to be done.
