I have seen Dr Suzelis for many years. He explains his treatment well and has always been willing to work with me. I appreciate the times he has said no, as much as the times he has said yes. He always has a solid medical reason to justify his decision and will compromise if he can. He also is the most compassionate Dr I have ever seen, and treated me with the most up to date methods during early Covid.He is very highly regarded by his regular clients and he has earned that.

Dr Suzelis was my primary doctor. I saw him about 3 times in 2021. I asked for my cholesterol to be tested and when my results came back he insisted I go on a statin. I wanted to try changing my diet first and he insisted I go on a statin while changing my diet. I took the prescription but never took the medicine. A year later, I have drastically reduced my cholesterol by changing my diet only. He did agree to a calcium score before insisting I take the statin. What I didn't like is that my choices were not honored and didn't seem to be respected. I felt a "You will do as I advise" attitude, which I did not appreciate. I also had fluid on my heart this last year (pericardial effusion). After surgery in August to put a "window" in my pericardium so the fluid could drain, I had a post-surgical follow-up appointment with him. He asked me why I was there to see him and didn't seem to know I had surgery. I find his staff to be disorganized and mildly rude. Each time I have visited his office I felt poorly treated by either the Dr or the staff. In fairness, after he experienced a health emergency in his family, his bedside manner improved drastically and that could have also impacted his disorganization after my surgery. Regardless, I was not happy with any of my experiences in his office throughout the year. He was recommended to me because I prefer an alternative healthcare approach (vitamins, herbs, diet changes, etc.) to traditional allopathic medicine but I did not find him to be particularly supportive of this lifestyle like I was lead to believe.
