This was supposed to be an intake appointment whereby I was transferring care from VA Pain Clinic.

Dr. Reimer's staff was careless and indifferent about having at first LOST my paperwork that included sensitive medical records that I'd dropped off a week and a half prior to today's appointment!

I wasn't even finished being triaged and prepped for my appointment when he walks into the room as if he already knew what I was coming for.

This man never once considered my prior care at the VA or my medically justifiable reasons for being 20 YEARS on opiate therapy (it just so happens to really be the only thing that works since I am not healthy enough to undergo surgery for what is wrong with me).

He was judgmental, and he wasted my time and said that the only thing he would consider me for is non-opiate therapies (therapies that I have already tried and failed at The VA).

I may as well have been a homeless bum down on his luck, I was treated with such little respect for my service to this country.

He wasn't even willing to suspend disbelief until my VA medical records arrived which would corroborate my open and honest dialogue I was trying to start with him.

This is NOT the man you want to see if you're in pain. He'll put you on Suboxone before he'll ever consider you for Percocet.

What a sad world we live in where you can't have open and honest discussion about your medical needs without being labelled and judged.

I do NOT recommend this man OR his practice. I am actually shocked at how lax they are regarding HIPAA that any member of the staff would lose or misplace paperwork!!
