Gary Fleischer performed a 3 level lumbar fusion on me with replacement of 2 discs as well as another screw inserted from below my spine through my left buttocks. The 3 procedure surgery went well until I was struck with a life threatening infection which resulted in a lengthy hospital stay and months of antibiotics at home. Dr. Fleischer denied any responsibility for the infection.  Months later, I complained about constant pain in my lower back.  He said I was completely fused and everything was correct. He then abruptly closes his practice and moves to North Carolina. He referred me to another surgeon.  Come to find out my back was NOT fused and I needed another lumbar fusion revision. Fleischer with his unprofessional attitude cost me a year of pain and suffering. To this day, he refuses to take responsibility for his lack of skill. My advice is stay away from this man at all costs and seek help from a spinal professional.  This man should not be allowed to practice medicine. Telling me my back was fused and to do anything I wanted with no restrictions is crazy. My new surgeon recognized the problem immediately and fixed Fleischer's mistake promptly.  Stay Away From Fleischer!! Total Narcissist!!
