Arrived to this office 10 minutes before my appt.  I was told doctor was not In yet. I filled out some forms and the staff took copies of my id and insurance card.Still no dentist.  20 minutes into my appt. time. still no dentist.  I was asked to write down my credit card number on a form. When I asked why? The staff said in case we need to charge you for some work not covered by your insurance. I refused to write my credit card information on some piece of paper. Ridiculous! Then  I was told that I had to give $250. up front in case there is something not covered by my insurance.  I have never heard of such a thing. I asked what if I refuse to give the $250? She said then I would not be able to be seen.  So I grabbed my paperwork and walked out of the office. BTW 30 minutes into my appt. time still no dentist Ridiculous. I have never been more upset at the time that I wasted trying to see a dentist. I have never been told by any dentist or doctor that I need to pay any thing upfront.  Not sure who makes up these rules but that is ridiculous.  If my two children & I where to be seen by this dentist, which was the plan, it would cost me $750. up front fee.  What a joke.  Not sure if theses rules are even legal.
