We were asked to come 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork, which is normal and acceptable. I was able to fill out the paperwork before our scheduled time but I had questions the front office staff could not answer. 45 minutes after our scheduled appointment time, we were finally asked back! Anyone with a special needs child knows to keep them occupied for 30 minutes is difficult, let alone an hour and a half!! Once in to see the doctor, we (dad and myself) wanted ways to know how to be more consistent between ourselves and things to try to help lessen the severity of his meltdowns. We didn't get 5 minutes into the appointment when she starts to argue with dad. Told me my child's "emotions during a tantrum (because meltdowns don't exist) don't matter". I wrote it down because that goes against everything I know as a parent. The "session" went downhill from there and we left with nothing useful. I even spoke to a friend of mine about it and without even mentioning the doctor's name, they knew who I was talking about and had a horror story of their own. Please DO NOT go to this doctor!!
