She was great during our appointment. She said another provider who specializes in trauma would be better equipped to assist me. She asked where I’d want my new provider to be located and confirmed that she'd send me some referrals. Then, I get automated email from the website on her behalf telling me to look online because none of their providers could help me. Assuming this was a mistake, I tried to message her, only to find my account had been deactivated. I found her email and contacted her there, and I get another automated email on her behalf telling me to go through my insurance to find someone. She did not follow through with the referral and couldn’t even send me a personal email. She caused my account to be deactivated. She intentionally made finding help more difficult for me. As a psychiatrist, she should know not to instigate feelings of despair in potentially unstable patients. Abandoning them is wrong.
