This woman is amazing! What was supposed to be jaw therapy to fix an injury turned into a blessing! Mrs. Elaine is a UofM physical therapist in Ann Arbor. She not only healed our daughter physically, but emotionally, mentally and spiritually. She asked all the right questions and instead of ignoring the things that didn't pertain to her injury , she listened and took action. She helped myself to understand that the struggles we were enduring with emotional dysregulation, sensory over load, severe melt downs, and a state of constant fear, was a result of early trauma. Trauma that her body, brain and parasympathetic system was holding on to. We now call it " stuck in fight mode". Mrs Elaine has taught Phoenix body and brain to let go, relax and submit. This has resulted in Phoenix being more reasonable, relaxed, care free and happy! Mrs Elaine has changed our lives! She is our angel in disguise!
