I came down with sciatic pain down my left leg to my foot over the memorial day holidays. I mean the pain was so severe I laid on the floor with my legs on an ottoman for six solid days.  The most excruciating pain I have ever felt, I could not walk, sit or stand. I got a ride to Dr. Garcia's office, had to wait three hours (miserable), then was called in. He diagnosed me and I didn't think the diagnosis was right but it was spot on. I got a shot in the glute of a strong NSAID, and a prescription of muscle relaxers, and strong pain medication. Finally, some relief. A MRI was scheduled for the next Monday,
then a epidural steroid injection. I am back to work two day later. The pain is probably fifty percent better. I don't know how long the steroid lasts but OMG I wanted to die the pain was unbearable. Dr. Garcia knew how much pain I was in and exactly where the issue was originating from. After he looked at my MRI I have a herniated and ruptured L3-L4 disc. The gel has extruded and is pressing on  my root nerve causing the inflammation and pain. Well, all said I am using better posture, pillows at night, trying to avoid a surgery.

Got treatment at first ,.
Then severeral expensive procedures which did help a little but wore off .
Tried to get me to have extremely expensive and IMO unreliable and ineffective implanted devices .
I checked , they don't work as advertised and seem to have several potentially fatal flaws .
One day I eard PA telling some emergency room Dr. they could finally get some other poor patient's implant to start working again .
Yes , it stopped working and You have no control over it .
Wonder how long they were in horrible pain waiting for that " approval " ?
Wha if it quits working on a weekend , holiday or at night ?
You're just out of luck.
No thanks .

Then the " treatment " was to give me Nothing so I could go through ewithdrawal AND be in plenty to of pain too
.But , according to Dr and PA , :
" people in other countries don't take as much drugs as Americans so if they don get it then neither do you " .
SO because the people in third world , poverty stricken , backward countries can't get medical treatment then you don't deserve to either .
Or people in government medicine only countries like say Canada or England.
They can't get an MRI , antibiotics or blood pressure medicine either so iapparently You don't deserve those either .
Too bad if you're in pain or go through horrible withdrawal for days.
I did .
.
Unless you're willing to try one of the expensive procedures and hope they actually work , you get nothing .
Basically , if other " treatment " types are not for you , then somehow you're better off just being in whatever pain brought you there .
Ooops , forgot to give you anything to help with withdrawal and tough luck about that pain .
For 5 or 6 long , scary , horrible days.
Too bad.
ER doctor said I could have died.
Sure felt like it .

The insanity infecting " pain treatment " doctors and medical control agencies ( yes , we have hem , like FDA ) over the only effective treatment available is at critical levels .
They treat injured and sick patients like a criminals or addicts because we need to use some medicine that works , namely the only painkillers " modern medicine " can come up with or you can use.
Like if you have to take blood pressure medicine for life ,then you must be an addict or a criminal !
How dare you be sick or injured , those 3rd world people don get anything so neither do You !
I Of course I'd rather be healthy , fixed and not hurting and I'm sure you would too .
It's hardly anyone's fault that they get sick or injured is it ?
No answers here .
