Dr. Diane Thompson George, M.D.

Dr. George seemed like a good fit for me initially because she is professional as it pertains to her work. Her mouth is a different story. My first negative experience was when she asked me if my 18 month old child was my husband's child. I'm really glad my daughter wasn't old enough to hear or understand the level of disrespect that was happening at the time. My husband, who is the father of ALL the children I've given birth to, was also in the room when this question was asked. That should have been my moment of clarity to exit ASAP and not return. Then on multiple occasions she asked me if my husband was the father of our unborn child. This occurred even in the delivery room, but was posed as though she needed to clarify something, although I can't imagine what. I don't know what was going through her mind in any of those instances, but for me it was disbelief. I imagine there was a stereotype of some sort, or perhaps I reminded her of another patient. Either way, it is none of her business who the father of ANYONE's child is--- it is only her business to do her job. These comments, insinuations, or whatever they were, were completely unprofessional and inappropriate. No one should ever have the opinion or assumptions of a physician imposed on them except what is professionally relevant. I felt obligated to stick with her because I was so far along in the pregnancy when this happened. However, once she delivered my daughter I found a new OBGYN. In hindsight I would have taken measures to leave before she could have the chance to humiliate me in the delivery room. And no, I absolutely WOULD NOT recommend her to ANYONE for ANYTHING.
