After an appointment with another dentist at Lane & Associates for my daughter, the dentist wanted Dr Patel's second opinion on how to handle a bad molar (whether to root canal or not).  Had to wait over two weeks for that next appointment.   The day before the appointment, their office informs me that the visit with Dr Patel would not be covered by insurance (costing many hundreds of dollars out of pocket).    So while this DDS is technically listed as a covered Aetnea dentist, they code his procedures in a  way that is not covered.    Zero flexibility on this from their office (even with other codes that could be used).    I told them I was concerned that anything I actually had him do would not be covered, given even walking in the door wasn't.   They didn't tell me I was wrong, only that the procedures might be covered.   Buyer beware.
