We brought our son in to be checked and to be referred to specialists for possible seizure. We did not receive any feed back, and zero communication of any kind. When we called into the office check on status of referrals, we were transferred from one physician's assistant to the next, with not one knowing where or what the status of our requested referrals. On one of our final calls into the office, we demanded to speak with office manager, and were made to feel as though they're DOING US A FAVOR. The office manager's reason was that they did not have a "referral coordinator" so they're very backed up. How is that the client's/patient's problem? We pay high premiums for our insurance coverage, and the chosen doctor's office is telling us their woes... We asked to speak with the head doctor, Dr. Engstrom, and was told that he does not do call-backs. Very interesting indeed. In the meantime, our son had suffered a couple seizures while waiting for referrals, not to mentioned incurring unnecessary Emergency Room expenses. Needless to say, we have cancelled our relationship with Dr. Engstrom's office, and have YELP'ed, and graded this office on Healthgrades.com, RateMDs.com, and WebMD.com, as well as contacted Aetna of our horrific experiences.
