On July 27, my appendix ruptured and I was fortunate that Dr. Kwong was the surgeon on call at Baylor Scott & White Frisco emergency room. The following week, I required a second surgery, also performed by Dr. Kwong, to remove an abscess resulting from the rupture. Throughout my surgeries and hospital stay, Dr. Kwong took time to patiently and thoroughly explain everything in detail and to answer my questions, never felt she was in rush. While in the hospital, she was punctual and consistent in the time that she would come by to check on me each day. During follow up visits to her office, I never had to wait. Medical emergencies and procedures are stressful to a patient but, in addition to being a skilled surgeon, Dr. Kwong has the gift of empathy and the ability to speak in a calming way.  I hope there are no more surgeries in my future, but I can't say enough good things about how well Dr. Kwong does her job, and would fully trust her with my health, if necessary, if the future.
