The doctor was very nice, though the office staff were not able to provide or attain the medical records sent from my primary care doctor. I still haven't received confirmation that my medical records were received. Dr Sanmiguel still provided me with care and told me that the office would follow up with my insurance to see if they'd cover an at home test she ordered. I did not hear anything for a week and called to follow up, I was told by the medical assistant that the office never calls to check on insurance and that was my responsibility. When I asked questions to clarify the miscommunication between the doctor and medical assistant I was treated confrontationally. Navigating the medical and insurance system is confusing and being rude to patients doesn't help. While the doctor was nice, it seems that the operational part of the office was not in order and the staff unfortunately took that out on me.

I love Dr San Miguel and think she is an awesome physician. I don't like having to wait three months to see her even if I am having a critical situation. The reason I see her is because I have very specific gastro issues and I think she is way smarter than most. I can't wait to see her in three months if I am doubled over in pain. Her staff doesn't seem to make an effort to try and fit a patient in when they are in distress. I have referred three patients to her and they have all had the same problem I have. I can't even get her to call me back if I am having a problem. So, she is great for routine stuff but not for emergencies.

Dr. Sanmiguel is an exception GI physician. She analyzed the current difficulty I am having swallowing even after dilation was done and came up with a new medication that had just been approved. Dr. Sanmiguel always listens to the difficulties I am having eating and in reviewing endoscopy films was able to explain to me the approach we are now trying with this new med to decrease inflammation and ulceration. She is always empathetic as well as innovative in her approach to my achalasia. So grateful for this level of healthcare she provides.

Dr. Claudia P. Sanmiguel is an excellent physician. Communicating my concerns to her was easy. She listened, asked follow-up questions, and gave me instructions. She also schedule and/or recommended two tests in order to obtain further information regarding my intestinal health. I left Dr. Claudia P. Sanmiguel's office believing that she called about my wellbeing and I respect and trust her as a physician. I listened Intently to Dr. Sanmiguel's Instructions and will obey her. I hold her in high regard.

I'm so happy I found Dr San Miguel, she has been the most caring physician genuinely ordering tests, exams, procedures in an astonishing time manner. She truly wants to find out what my medical problem is in order to diagnose my illness. I'm very thankful to her and her staff for the efficiency and the respectful manner in which everyone has treated me. None of us want to be ill, but having caring people all interested in my well being gives me peace of mind. Thank you for truly being compassionate.

Dr San Miguel was clear in her explanations, and listened well to my questions and concerns. The reception area is not private and seemed to be an odd set-up for discgarging patients. I would not expect a specialty provider to discuss all of my medications but simply to confirm what I am taking, which the staff did, and for the provider to advise me if anything I take is in conflict with her plan.

Wonderful care from doctor!! Polite helpful efficient support staff!! Lengthy wait time for doctor on our virtual appt since she was completing a previous appt. This is understandable when providing thorough care which is so appreciated, but a staff call back when she was ready would have been helpful and freed me up during lengthy wait.Otherwise the doctor and office staff are a 10!!

Dr. San Miguel is the most thorough doctor I have ever had. She is knowledgeable, patient, kind, personable, & really makes you feel like she cares & are not just another patient. She listens to every detail & creates thorough & effective care plans. I could not have gotten through the worst parts of my new chronic diagnosis without her. I am forever grateful for her expertise & care.

This doctor is really great and I would highly recommend. It is difficult sometimes to get an appointment in a short time frame if you're having serious problems, sometimes you have to wait a month which isn't always feasible. But they do offer to call if there are cancellations and that's how I've been able to get in sooner to see the doctor so I appreciate that.

This was my first visit with Dr. San Miguel and she is awesome. She was very thorough and kind. She gave me extra advice on diet..I really like her alot. She made me feel comfortable and I wish all physicians were as attentive and kind as she is! I will definitely see her again!!
