Awful experience, constantly looking at the clock, wastes client's time Christopher started off my greeting me with the wrong name. Calling me "Kim", after I corrected him on my name actually being Shawnee, he responded with, well your last name is Kim right? As an asian I was shocked at his ignorance and told him again, that's incorrect. This should have been a red flag that he made no effort to get his client's name right. The entire time during our first meeting he was just doing paperwork(which he definitely could have done prior to our meeting) and we talked for maybe 10 minutes and he still charged his full rate. I don't believe a Therapist should charge a full rate for the first session where we are just signing papers. I went back a second time because I thought now that paperwork is over, maybe I can get something of off this session. Totally wrong. Christopher was looking at the clock every 15 minutes. This was INCREDIBLY noticeable, since his eyes would wonder while you're disclosing incredibly painful and personal information to him. He even interrupted my sentence once to tell me that we only had 10 minutes left. Honestly he doesn't truly care about his clients and lacks the sympathy that I want from a therapist. He said he was going to get me started on his "plan" which was me doing yoga 3-5 times a week. For real?!? that's all you can say?? He also repeats himself a lot. Like an old grandfather that forgets he already told you something. At a rate of $185/45 minutes this is an incredibly waste of money and time. During our second session he probably killed 15 minutes alone just repeating himself. I had to stop him several times to tell him to move on. In additional to his off putting manners, he also doesn't take any form of payment other than check, and doesn't communicate in anyway except for phone calls (he refuses to use emails of text). He also makes a choice to only see clients during the day, which is unrealistic for anyone who has a real 9-5 job. When you try to work with him, he tells you if therapy is important enough for you, you need to take time off of work. Again, not realistic for anyone who is working a job and needs to financially support others. Overall I had a terrible experience with him and would recommend taking him off the aetna network.
