To make this short the office staff was great but the doctor did not make me feel well cared for. I could hear this provider speaking negatively about how the medical assistants do their job outside my door for almost longer than my actual visit. I know for sure I was booked or a new patient appointment , but I spoke with the doctor maybe 5 minutes and had not even a 5 minute exam. What did the doctor do for the rest of my visit? The doctor did not knock when walking in. I felt very much not listened to, he did not ask me follow up questions when I spoke very generally about how I feel . I am not difficult, I work in a healthcare facility, this is not how we treat new patients and this is not the amount of time we see them for. I also went through a lot of trouble to bring my medical records and recently blood work and he did not care to look at it AT THE SLIGHTEST and said to just go give it to the desk… I will search for another gynecologist that will listen to me and be pleasant atleast.
Dr. Bauer and his staff at Atlantic Health are amazing! This is my first pregnancy and I am so pleased with the level of care I have received from everyone in this office. Dr. Bauer takes the time to answer questions and is very personable. My husband and I feel so comfortable to share concerns with him. The nurses are very friendly and helpful. I came in for a new issue and the next day a nurse called me to follow up to see how I was doing. That was so comforting and really made me feel like I chose the right doctor's office. Also, I love how they stick to appointment times, I never have to wait more than five minutes to see the doctor. The office is very clean and well-organized. Any woman looking for a great women's health office should look no further than Atlantic Health in Totowa.
This doctor "inherited" me after my regular doctor retired. What a contrast. He just didn't care.
