Dr. Cesar Augusto Tapia-Vera, DDS

Selected Dr. Tapia-Vera because he was within my insurance network almost two years ago. Initially had great service from his office until Dec 2023. I was recommended for a crown on a tooth that was not bothering me at all. I agreed to the crown as a preventative measure. This crown work was completed by another dentist in Dr. Tapia-Vera's office. I was subsequently charged for out of network charges without my knowledge which exceeded $350. When I brought this up to the office, I was spoken to very rudely over the phone and then transferred to Dr. Tapia-Vera's wife. She agreed to reimburse me for some of these unnecessary expenses by check during my next cleaning. I reluctantly agreed to give them one more chance. When I showed up for my cleaning in March, they offered me a check and A TWO PAGE LEGAL DOCUMENT stating that I would never speak of this incident in any way shape or form or on any type of social media. I have never been handed something like this when a company has made an obvious mistake and is willing to make it right. I asked them to please send me a digital version and that I would have an attorney look at it. Which is ridiculous. When I left that appointment, another rude staff member called me and asked me where I was. When I refused to return to sign that gag order, they immediately canceled the check that was promised to me by the owner's wife. If they can do this to a disabled american veteran $300, just imagine what they would do for a much greater mistake. Sadly, I never had the opportunity to speak with Dr. Tapia-Vera and believe he and I could have settled this man to man. Avoid at all cost!
