It doesn't matter how good the massage is if the therapist never shows up for appointments.

I found Brandey Vickery by checking who accepts my medical insurance and the Yelp reviews. A LOT of LMTs fit the bill.  Vickery Holistic Massage won out simply because it was really close to my house.  

I enjoyed the first - and only - massage I got from Brandey.  Unfortunately, the night before my next appointment she texted to let me know she was sick.  Hey, I get it - we all get sick.  No problem.  She offered three available times to see her on the following weekend (5 days later).  I chose the Saturday at 8AM appointment.  She texted back to confirm.  

On Saturday I arrived at the office at 8:04am to find nobody there (yep, I was 4 minutes late but didn't think it would be an issue).  I knocked a few times even though it was dark inside. I wondered if she figured I was a no-show and may be in the restroom or something, so I waited around for a few more minutes.  I didn't bring my phone with me so I couldn't call or text, nor could I see if she had contacted me at the last minute with some emergency or if she was still sick. I ran back home to see if there were any messages from her.  I hadn't received any messages or texts.  I sent her a text at 8:18am to let her know that I had gone to my appointment and that I didn't see anybody there.  I could see that she read the text at 8:38am.  Unfortunately, she NEVER REPLIED!  It's now four days later and I still haven't heard a word from her.  

This was also a huge inconvenience because I had to get a referral from my doctor for my massages.  I paid out of pocket for my first massage to make sure I liked it.  When I knew that I was happy with her services, I asked my doctor for a prescription.  I have a prescription for massage therapy with Vickery Holistic Massage, but certainly won't be using it now.  I'll be looking for somebody more reliable.

It's too bad.  I enjoyed my first massage but her lack of professionalism and respect left a very bad taste in my mouth.  I'm really surprised because there are a TON of massage therapists with great reviews in the area that accept my insurance.  I would think that with that much competition that she'd be a little more conscientious about keeping any clients she can get.
