Dr. Bassem El Tom, MD

Two indicators for you:1. The visit went well enough that I mentioned to Dr. El Tom that I'm sorry there isn't a better feedback mechanism through Facey. And then shortly later his leader called me and said she heard I had feedback to share. How cool is that?!?! 2. I mentioned to my wife how much I respect and appreciate my doctor and she said she's tempted to dump hers and jump over to Dr. El Tom. I'm reluctant to share his info with her though, because I don't want him to be too busy to see his most important patient: ME!!! I shared his name with my wife though. She's worth it.Seriously, this has been a rough year for me medically and I couldn't be more grateful to have such a solid partnership with my PCP. I respect his thought processes as he seems to think very similarly to the way that I do when I address a technical situation at work. I am grateful for how seriously he takes my health, to the point that he called me out of the blue once after receiving alarming lab results and gave me immediate steps to take to mitigate a dangerous side-effect to one of my meds leading to kidney failure. I also respect and admire his personality and interpersonal skills when he talks with me. I can say with all sincerity that for a man who is neither my relative nor my friend, he has gained my love, trust, and admiration. Not that I'm naturally cynical, but my respect is hard-won and he has done everything right to earn my trust. I honestly believe that God put this man in my life in a year when I badly needed him. Hopefully I won't be so "needy" in the future and won't require as much attention.

Dr El Tom is the best physician I've ever had in my life and I'm going to be 74 soon! I've referred numerous people to him as he is so thorough, kind and not to mention, brilliant! He has steered me in the right direction when I've needed a referral, with great results. And he listens! This is so important to me as a patient because I don't feel as if he is talking over me or giving a glib answer to some question or observation, he truly listens and thinks carefully before he responds. I also feel he gives his undivided attention as if I'm his only patient for the day but knowing he has a long list of appointments. One of those doctors who kind of lights up the room when he enters the exam room I've been waiting in. As you can surmise, I think the world of Dr. El Tom, AKA as my "Life Saver"! Thank you!

Facey is so organized. Appointments are hard to get in a timely fashionbut, I know it's the state of medicine today. Always impressed with Facey. Their care, follow-up, and wonderful compassion. Dr. El-Tom is just a great guy. I feel lucky to have him looking after me. The office staff (front and back) are kind and professional. Kudos. As a medical provider myself, I can imagine doing it any better than you do. Thank you!

Dr. El Tom has always done an exceptional job at answering questions, providing easy to understand answers, and going over medications and lab test results. Equally impressive was he was actually early to the appointment thus showing his commitment to allowing any discussions and questions to be addressed. I have had other telemedicine appointments where I had to wait up to 30 minutes to start.

I just recently changed from my previous doctors office of about 15-20 years to Dr. Bassem. I was very pleased and happy with the service that I received from Dr. Bassem. He was very attentive and showed concern for whatever I was feeling that day. He explained everything to me after my lab results came back and made it easy to understand. I'm not sure why I hadn't changed doctors sooner.

I've been seeing Dr El Tom for a few years when my previous doctor left. He was highly recommended by previous md, and everything she said is true. Some doctors might "shame" you because of your health problems, or what you should be doing, etc. Dr. El Tom informs in a non-judgmental way what should be attempted if possible. Gives Providence/Facey much credibility.

Dr. El Tom is the best doctor I have ever had! He actually listens to what you have to say and doesn't try to rush out so he can get to his next appointment! I would and have recommended him to family and friends. He is the primary care doctor for my whole family, my sisters family and my mom! He is absolutely wonderful and is what all doctors should be!

I continue to be so impressed with Dr. El Tom and the entire staff at Facey Copper Hill. I get the best care, extremely quick referrals, a doctor who does not make me feel like he has to rush through our appointment and very prompt responses to my email questions. I cannot say enough good things about this doctor to express how much I appreciate him!

I really like Dr. El Tom and feel that he cares. The big problem is that booking time with any dr at facey is difficult because they are booked up so far in advance. Anytime I need care somewhat soon, I just go to urgent care so I don't have to wait a week or more (usually more). Dr. El Tom does try and squeeze me in if he can, but it's not easy.
