Dr. Badie T. Clark III, MD

I purposely googled Dr. Clark to find a forum where I could leave my review of his care for my two year old son. Our son was admitted to PICU @ Betty Cameron Women's & Children - NHMRC with what we later learned was Streptococcus pneumonia. Dr. Clark was first and foremost thoughtful, professional and always kept us informed of each step of my son's treatment. If you've ever had a child in a critical care situation, perhaps you can relate to not really being aware of what's going on each moment due to stress, fear and just mental anguish. Dr. Clark had a tactful yet sensitive way of explaining processes and reasons for what was going to take place. Every question we asked of him, he answered, and encouraged us to ask him anything else that came to mind. He was there at the onset and the conclusion of my son's 10 day stay in ICU, and each time I saw him enter the room I knew that we had a very good doctor who would see us through this ordeal. He had a calm and quiet presence that was very settling to us during an otherwise chaotic time. 

Thank you doesn't cover the gratitude that our family feels towards Dr. Clark. We didn't get to properly tell him goodbye or even attempt to find the words to thank him due to shift changes and discharge timing..... but his name will be written into our son's baby book, so that one day when we tell our son of his ordeal, he too will know the name of his awesome PICU doctor!
