I was nervous about finding a new doctor when I moved to the Parkville area and my boyfriend referred me to Dr. Abernathy. He has always made me feel comfortable, even when it comes to uncomfortable topics as I was dealing with hormone-related issues. His bedside manner makes it easy to communicate about what's really going on without fear of judgement. I had preconceived notions and he broke every single one. This really isn't to fluff his ego but just expressing gratitude for a doctor who listens, explains things in a way I understand and gets right to work to treat and/or refer to the right people.

Dr. Abernathy was great. He was timely, thorough, and easy to work with. The office was not as great. They called to reschedule my appointment because the doctor was going to be out of the office, and then didn't put my rescheduled time into the computer. When I called the morning of the appointment, they said they only showed that they'd cancelled but not rescheduled and I had to wait 2 more months (I'd already waited 2 months) to get in. Since the mistake was theirs, I thought they should have worked me in sooner. But I will go back, because I like Dr. Abernathy.
