Dr. Audrey L. Rogers, MD

Ok, here's the deal with Dr Audrey: you either love her or you hate her, and it all boils down to your own parenting style. 
Dr R is for you: If you value discipline and are willing to discipline despite tears from your child because you know it's better for them in the long run (Hebrews 12:5-11). If you want to set good eating and sleeping habits for a lifetime even if it means setting boundaries and sticking to them...no matter how big a tantrum your child throws in the middle of Walmart because you aren't buying them the snack they want (personal experience ;-). If you believe it is beneficial for a child to learn how to respectfully submit to the authority of the parent as training for adulthood, where we all have situations in which it is beneficial to set aside what we want to do in order to do what we have to do. And if you want your kids to learn how to fall asleep on their own and sleep all night long for 10-12 hours. 
We share tons of hugs, kisses, tickles, encouragement, and laughs with our kids; they know they're dearly loved. But they also know we are not going to let them get away with bad behavior or habits. We get comments all the time from people - friends and strangers alike - telling us how pleasant and well-behaved our kids are. It has not been easy by any means, but it has definitely been worth it because our kids are enjoyable to be around. 
Dr R is NOT for you if you are going to: Appease your child, giving in to them even after you said no. Hand them an iPhone at a restaurant to avoid whining or a tantrum instead of doing the hard work of discipline (our kids play on our iPhones sometimes…but they earned it with good behavior, not by throwing a fit). Or if you cannot let your child cry before falling asleep (All 4 of our kids were consistently sleeping 10+ hours a night by 4 months old!! It was AWESOME - a full night sleep for mom and dad!! It was the same for my friend who has 3 kids and went to Dr. R!) 
Dr Rogers is an excellent, knowledgeable physician who gives accurate diagnosis and treatment for illnesses, and also cares about your child's long-term well-being.
