Dr. Annie Lam, MD

Dr Lam has been my primary care physician since I moved to Texas in 2021. I like how she treats my health care like a cooperative effort between me and her.  I have my own ideas about what I need to do to stay healthy, but l very much depend on her medical expertise to confirm or correct my approaches to my health. 

Dr Lam is the best medical professional I have worked with in thirty years. 

I was going to Dr Lam as a new PCP. Needed to get refills on my medication. I take Ozempic for my Diabetes. Dr Lam wanted to increase the dosage every 30 days without lab work being done. I called and spoke to the office manager asking why the increase but no labs to back up the need for the increase. The office manager stated she would talk with doctor and get back to me. I later received a call from the lady in the prescription department. The lady stated that she was told to call me with update from office manager. Per office manager the doctor does not pull labs on a new patient the first six months of visits and that my diabetes was under control. I asked how they could tell it was under control without any lab work and if it was under control why the need to continue to increase medication every 30 days. I was told "that is just what you do". I don't think so. Sounds like a way to put a patient in the hospital if you ask me. I had labs done for her office in September and as of today her office has not called me about the lab results or a follow up appointment. I will not be going back to her. I would/will not recommend this doctor to anyone. On top of all of this, I had a sinus infection back in May per the doctor which later turned into a chronic cough. She treated me once a month up until my July appointment and could not get me well. On September 20th went to new PCP and within about 1-2 weeks was treated for possible allergies and/or asthma. My cough is pretty much gone.
