I experienced symptoms of a detached retina on 11/28/2021 and saw Dr Takemoto at the HOAG Emergency Room in Newport Beach late at night. She reacted so quickly and professionally to diagnose my detached retina & immediate need for surgery recognizing I would lose the sight in my left eye. I was understandably nervous and upset at the potential of going blind in my left eye but Dr Takemoto went above and beyond to insure I get into surgery asap to save my eye. I will never be able to thank her for all she did to get me the care I needed. Now, 9 months later, after successful detached retina & cataract surgery my vision in my left eye is back to 20/20 and I have Dr Takemoto to thank along with her colleagues at HOAG which quickly responded to my urgent needs.
