Ms. Amber T. Carlston, LCMHC

I would not recommend Amber T Carlston as a therapist. Especially not for children processing or experiencing trauma. I was court ordered to see her as my therapist. She forced me to share traumatic events that have happened to me with people who have abused me. She told me I just needed to “let go” of the trauma that I had endured or else she said I would develop a personality disorder. That was very scary as a young girl, I felt threatened. I have now been diagnosed with ptsd which has no cure. Implying that you can just let go of trauma, especially complex trauma one has endured through the span of many years, is very irresponsible and immature. That is not safe and caused me more damage. I wrote her a letter expressing my concerns and never heard back.
