This was my third visit with Dr. Amanda Schack. I have a broken tailbone (for 3 years) and asked for another steroid injection, although the last 2, according to her notes, did not work. Once I returned home I realized that I did tell the nurse, who gave me a follow up call 2 days after the injection that it didn't work. However after 5or 6 days it did. Most physicians know that these shots take longer than 2 days to kick in. During my office visit I was in extreme pain and started to cry. Dr. Schack asked me if I was keeping up with my depression medicine, indicating that my crying might be mentally related. She refused to do the injection and was very condescending. I retired from the medical community and never saw any physicians act that way towards a patient. I will be meeting with her superiors to address this level of inappropriate behavior.
