Dr. Alexander Rafael Lloyd, MD

During my appointment with Dr Lloyd, he was very thorough in his examination, asked about history of simailar injury. With his examination and ultrasound he was able to explain why my knee has a predisposition for this type of injury. This was something that has never been explained to me by previous providers. I really appreciated how Dr Lloyd personally reached out to me through the patient portal after my visit. He provided me with the results of my x-ray and showed care and concerned by asking how I was doing in my recovery from my injury. I felt heard and cared for. I feel that he genuinely cares about his patients.

Relative to other providers I have seen for this particular condition in last 3 months, Dr Lloyd is a Star. He excelled. He listened, actually examined, evaluated, and worked to get to the bottom of the issues with Ultrasound and then MRI, where others had not been as thorough and attentive to the subtleties. His diligence resulted in a clear understanding of what wrist injuries had been missed by other practitioners. I feel like I can see light at end of tunnel, albeit a slow road to recovery. I look forward to his further keen assessment and suggestions for recovery, alongside that of Hand Surgeon.

Everyone at Swedish, sport and spine in Bellevue is professional, kind and caring. They have an incredible team there. Dr Lloyd is exceptional. He hears everything I say, and is present and intentional with every response. He goes above and beyond to understand my whole body healthcare. And to provide Answers and/or resources to help make me a better patient. I wish all doctors were as empathetic, kind and professional as he is.

Dr. Lloyd exceeded my expectations. He cares, he's kind, very knowledgeable and took his time to explain what may be going on with me. He even answered all my questions (I'm sure I may have asked the same question more than once). He listened to my concerns and made me feel heard! I cant thank him enough for putting my worries at ease. I left his office feeling like I could get through this pain with his help.

Dr. Lloyd and his staff were absolutely amazing. I really had no idea what was going to happen when I saw him, but wow. I am very excited at the possibility that he might be able to help my injury get better or even heal. He was so kind and patient, truly listening and asking questions, and explaining everything along the way. Looking forward to seeing him for the procedure very soon! Thank you so much.

Dr Lloyd is (beyond) excellent. I trust his opinion when I usually don't trust doctors but I do Dr Lloyd. He is personable, treats me and my step-father with respect, and explains things thoroughly. He's the 3rd doctor that has treated my left ankle and I believe he's treating exactly what needed to be treated while other doctors previous to him were mistaken.

I felted heard as a patient. I enjoyed that the doctor was very knowledgeable about my history prior to the appointment. I didn't feel rush and he provided a space to ask questions. I have had a hard time in the past with doctor who don't listen and this experience definitely proved to me that there are doctors that care about their patients.

I have seen Dr. Lloyd a few times for chronic minor issues related to aging. He understands the desire of old people to stay active, and has been extremely helpful. I appreciate very much both his medical expertise and his approach to chronic problems, and have recommended him to several friends. He is an excellent physician!

I had to wait at least 6 - 8 weeks to get a nerve study done when both of my feet and legs were numb. Dr Lloyd did order an urgent MRI of my lower spine and I was able to call around and get one in 1 1/2 weeks and a follow up appointment with him in 2 weeks. He was an excellent practitioner and very polite and informative.

Sports and spine clinic have poor telephone service if need to talk to schedulers or medical assistants. I am also a MD and tried using the provider option and often nobody answers. Seems to be a problem that is getting worse. Dr Loyd was great and appreciated his time and expertise while performing the Emg/ncv.
