I have been a patient of Dr. Adam Owen for several years. He is not the first pain specialist I have seen, but he is easily the best. He is extremely friendly, thorough, knowledgeable and honest.  I have had various procedures over the years. While steroid injections are usually a first option, they are by no means the only option. Pain control is tricky, and it takes patience. Dr. Owen is methodical in his approach, starting as conservatively as possible, but with patience and good communication, he can almost work miracles. 

When the problem is beyond his ability, he is quick to refer to others. He has excellent relationships with other specialists, and as a patient, I have benefited from them. I've seen doctors (surgeons) that others wait weeks or even months to see because Dr. Owen has good professional relationships with other top-notch doctors. His goal is always to try to avoid more invasive procedures (and surgery is the ultimate invasive procedure), but he's not afraid to send patients to others before it's too late (or simply for another opinion).

As an established patient, I've been able to get in to see him on the same day or within a day when necessary, despite his office being busy. I think he could outrun the Energizer Bunny; he never slows down. Just the same, I've never felt like a number. He knows me - and all his "regular" patients by name. I simply can not say enough good things about him.
