Family Medicine practitioners - Madison, WI

"My first daughter was born on Thanksgiving day in 2006. I was 22 and scared. I had been induced a week early because of high blood pressure and the size of my baby. I saw Dr. Beamsley for every prenatal appointment during my pregnancy even though he shared his O.B. practice with another doctor. I knew there was a chance the other doctor would have to deliver my baby, and I probably should have had at least one appointment with him- but I just really liked Beamsley so I didn't. I was induced about a day and a half before I went into labor... and then was in labor for a long time before my daughter was born just after midnight on Thanksgiving morning. Doctor Beamsley was supposed to be on vacation for Thanksgiving. And he stayed. He could have called in the other doctor but he didn't. He was there checking in for all of it and delivered my girl. He was in my room in tennis shoes and a sweatshirt after "the dust had settled" to make sure we were ok. He's not just a good doctor, he's a good person. "

"I've been seeing Dr. Miran since I met him a few years ago. I'd been working with him as a consultant to help him learn how to use the organization's EMR and was very impressed by his manner. He self-educates all the time and isn't afraid to think outside of the box. I've appreciated his attention to my nutrition and activity when considering possible issues and best practices. This isn't typical of all PCPs. I recommend him for anyone who wants someone who keeps track of the whole picture. "
