"First, I saw her for epilepsy. Then for cluster headaches. She was good in the beginning. I asked if new treatments available for my kinds of seizures? “No”. Before I went in, I found there was. Already 25 yrs in of medical care for conditions. I know to double check somethings on my own. Yes, there was a new med to try. For cluster headaches, pills and injections didn’t help. Nothing left to try. I asked if I could try oxygen therapy, again “no” told it won’t help clusters. I asked if I could just try? “No” again. Me knowing it has helped some people, I went back to primary. Neither both Froedtert (neuro and epileptologist) agreed with her. My primary was angered and no longer refers patients to her. The primary put oxygen order in and it has helped. Doctors like her is why I get nervous about next new doctor I’ll see. Now I double check all healthcare decisions made by professionals. Many times it was me that got better treatment going. I don’t trust most bellin doctors anymore- primaries (mine retired) and specialists and referrals, etc. Never stop educating yourself. I found I have high rate of premature death on my own, mentioned. “Yes, that’s true” why did nobody tell me? Some things should be mandatory to tell, but aren’t. With many patients all over of various fields of study. Switching doctors is stressful, but needed sometimes. Like I did with her."
