His explanations are very clear, and I have always appreciated the time he takes to reassure patients and make them feel at ease with upcoming procedures. Dr. Hazen is very calm and confident about this work. He has an exceptional bedside manner, and I would highly recommend him following my successful hysterectomy and treatment for iron deficiency. "We moved to VA late in my pregnancy so we didn't start meeting with Dr. Campbell until I was 30 weeks along. Despite this, she and her staff all knew both me and my husband by name by the third time we came in! (We even saw her at the grocery store once and she stopped US to say hello!) There were only a few appointments where I could tell Dr. Campbell was running behind and it took a bit longer to be seen, but what doctor doesn't ever have a busy day? When she WAS running late, she was still willing to take the time to answer all of the questions I had about our upcoming induction. She stayed with me to explain it all in detail once more even though she knew she was already behind schedule. To me, it's worth it to wait a bit knowing that she's not cutting someone's questions short! When she wasn't running behind, she always took the time to chit-chat with us and really get to know us as people! I personally liked that she wasn't in the room for most of our delivery. Just my husband and one nurse. She showed up on time to assist him through the birth canal and stitched me up so fast afterward! For our follow up, she was so sweet and made sure to offer me a private room to breastfeed my son IF I wanted it (she made it a point to let me know I could feed him wherever I wanted). I can't say she had the most *gentle touch* when doing examinations, but I also get really tense, so it's never been the most pleasant experience for me, regardless of the doctor. Overall, I really loved Dr. Campbell and will be going straight to this office when I get pregnant next."

"My experience with this obstetrician was notably disappointing due to several issues. Firstly, the doctor's manner of communication was harsh and not fitting for sensitive discussions. I was allowed to bring up only one issue per appointment, necessitating multiple visits with extensive waits in between.Furthermore, the doctor frequently interrupted me, creating a sense of dismissal towards my concerns. This feeling was exacerbated by inaccuracies in the medical notes, which falsely claimed I interrupted the session by standing up multiple times. In truth, I only stood up once to leave, when iwas IN TEARS due to feeling disrespected by the doctor's confrontational attitude.This experience has led me to caution others about this provider. The lack of compassionate communication and the inaccuracies in the medical records highlight a significant shortfall in the quality of care. Patients deserve to be treated with respect, empathy, and accuracy, all of which were missing in my encounter."
