"After 2 visits and an external EMG test, we agreed to proceed with a surgery date 2 months later. As expected, the insurance company rejected our request for artificial discs. The insurance company attempted to contact doctor 3 times to do a peer review to discuss request for artificial disc. They could never connect with doctor, so application for coverage was closed. After several attempts to contact doctor, I never got calls back to update status of process. I wasted nearly 3 months waiting and spent over $500 on visits and tests. I am now looking for another doctor."

"Doctor Jordan was excellent in his evaluation and treatment of my condition. I went from not being able to exercise properly due to significant pain to being able to achieve a new level of fitness as a result of my surgery. I am very happy with the results. Just be aware that rotator cuff surgery requires that the patient properly heal and conduct physical therapy as prescribed. It is way too easy to re-injure if one is over zealous with physical activity post-surgery, even three or four months later, depending on the severity of what was injured before the repair. "

"I took my VNG test downtown Houston. Dr Neilan got the results the next day. I was advised that I have vestibular disorder and I need vestibular therapy and a neurologist. Ok. “So where do I go?” “You’ll have to research that yourself as we don’t know where your insurance will cover.” “So I have to find a place and a neurologist on my own? I have no idea where to start!” “Call your insurance company.” Wow! I should have been provided a place to get my vestibular therapy and a neurologist not just “this is what you need, bye!” If they cared about their patients, they would have looked it up, given me a list of options and then I could call for appointments. Just felt like they didn’t care."
