"Dr. Sunallah has been my children's pediatrician for almost 2 years now. He is great with the kids, makes them feel comfortable for their appointment, explains what he is doing before he looks in their ears/nose/mouth, and all around makes them happy to go to the doctor! I also feel that when I have questions Dr. Sunallah give me the time I need to answer everything~! He is always punctual to appointments, or staff will promptly let you know when he is running behind. The nurse's and office staff Dr. Sunallah oversees are also all very great with the kids and extremely helpful and polite. I drive from a city further away just to take my kids to Dr. Sunallah when they are ill or need a check-up. Thank you Dr. Sunallah! "

"I was between health insurance companies and had been out of my maintenance medications for awhile, and was managing to do without. I tried one time to go to a Harris Health System clinic, but after sitting there 2 hours with an appt, I had to get back to work. Dr. Alkarra was/is my boyfriend’s Dr, and with his offer to pay for the visit, I hesitantly gave in. I don’t like going to Dr’s; always telling me what’s wrong with me and never what is right. My appt was one of the newest ways to see a Dr; virtually. His office staff made the first call, got all info, and said I would receive the next call within 5 minutes. It was a few minutes later and the 2nd person from his office called, making sure I was ready. I was then switched over to the video conference with Dr. Alkarra. Dr. Alkarra took me by surprise! Not only was he handsome, but he has this kindness about him that made me more at ease with an ‘unknown Dr’ than ever before. He asked me about my medical history, what brought me to him, what meds I was out of and meds I have taken in the past, what worked, what didn’t work, answered any questions I had ,wanted to see me again in 3 months. I told him honestly that I was not big on seeing Dr’s, really did not care about Pap smears and mammograms anymore (I was 51yo), preferred not to do blood work until I was insured again, and he had no issues with that. The new patient self-pay fee was reasonable, and regular 3 or 6mo visits were going to be even less. When the session was complete, I looked at my boyfriend and said “dang, if you would have told me he was that handsome I wouldn’t have waited so long and given you such a hard time”! I then thought about the breast exam and Pap smear that he might want to do down the road and joked with my boyfriend about that. Unfortunately, I got insurance within the following 3 months and Dr. Alkarra was not on that plan . Back to a PCP in a hospital group, along with the usual critiquing on my bloodwork and informing me for the one millionth time that I am overweight. "

"Have had Dr Teer as my PCP for 20 years and she is the first name I check when we have to get new insurance. She has been SPOT ON with EVERY diagnosis and cure (Can't say the same for some of the other doctors in her practice, but, SHE has been right EVERY time!) For the times she is behind schedule, it's because she is taking the time to LISTEN to her patients and make sure they understand what she has told them. It may be this time that I am running late due to another patients consulting, but, next time it might be me that needs that, so, I deal with it! I appreciate her knowledge and experience in her care of my family."

"My husband went in with acute pain and an idea that he had been experiencing a gallbladder attack. He described the stabbing pain to his sternum that went through to his back, talked about how the pain lasted for multiple hours and then gradually subsided, and told her of his family history of gallbladder issues. Dr. Hussein told him that it sounded like gallbladder, but decided to treat him for acid re-flux. This was after telling her student that while he did have three of the "4 F's" for gallbladder - forty, fatty, fertile - he wasn't female. She also told her student that "middle aged, alcoholic men" often don't know what the real pain of a gallbladder attack feels like. She sent him on his way (feeling upset and humiliated) with a prescription for Nexium and advice to change his lifestyle. He experienced a 11 hour long gallbladder attack 5 days later and had the gallbladder removed along with 2 2 cm stones - avg size that passes though being 2 mm. I had appreciated Dr. Hussein's direct approach and no-nonsense manner and have recommended her to many of my friends and family. I rescind that recommendation. Anyone who can treat another person with such lack of compassion and flippancy does not deserve the business of my family or friends. "

" I have been going to the great doc now for fifteen years. I haven't had any complaints and have recommended him on numerous occasions. He even gives me the look, whenever I know I haven't taken care of myself, because I believe he cares about his patients. I suggest you pay him a visit and find out first hand what timely, well mannered care you can and should expect from a professional. He DOES NOT abuse script writing so don't plan on taking advantage of him."
