Surgeons - Humble, TX

"I called this office to schedule a consult prior to a routine colonoscopy which is covered 100% by my insurance company. I asked how much the consult would cost me. The little girl who answered my first call told me I would have to get that from my insurance company. So, okay, I called the insurance company. They said the consult would be applied to my deductible, but not paid by them. Then they said they could not tell me how much the doctor's office would charge me without a five-digit code from the doctor. They put me on hold to call the doctor, but the office did not answer. So I called the doctor's office back and got a different teenage girl. I explained that I was asking the price that I would be charged, as I had already found out from my insurer that I would be paying for the whole cost of the consult out of my pocket. The little girl told me the only way I could find out what the consult would cost me was to have the consult, so the doctor could then give the office the procedure code. I explained over and over to the child that we already knew what the procedure was, and that I only wanted to know what I would be paying for the consult that is required prior to scheduling the procedure, but she didn't understand that whole concept. I finally asked for a supervisor, and guess what? The supervisor wasn't in. Needless to say, I gave up and called another doctor, who (surprise, surprise) understood what I was asking and told me what my out-of-pocket would be. How can you run an practice like this, with multiple doctors in multiple locations performing complicated and expensive procedures, and not have office staff who can engage in normal conversational exchanges and provide simple answers to simple questions like, "How much money should I expect to pay for this visit?" I see this doc has good reviews, but this sort of incompetence (I hope it was merely incompetence, and not dishonesty) on the part of his staff makes me question how trustworthy the whole practice is. Please replace the MORONS in your office with normal, functioning adults."

"I don’t remember the exact date, but it was in January 2022. Dr. Liet misdiagnosed me first of all; therefore, mistreating me. I was told by him on my last visit that he was only going to charge me for an office visit since he knew that I was not happy with his services. I had to go to another doctor needless to say for treatment. I ended up receiving a bill for $46 from him and I have tried calling his office numerous times regarding this as well as the billing department with no one returning my calls regarding this matter. Now I have received a bill from a collection agency over a bill that I should not owe. It’s not the amount of money, but it’s the principle of it all. He has already gotten about $400 from me when his treatment did not work and my condition got worse! Now he still has the audacity to bill me for more money! I do not recommend him at all! "

"I would not recommend as this doctor did not send on my paperwork and my FMLA claim was denied due to the office never sending in the paperwork, after numerous requests. Good doctor surgery wise but bad business wise. "

"I had an Appointment on 09/26/2022 at 10:30 AM. I chose this hour because it gave me ample time to see the doctor and make it to school for my classes. I showed up a little early because I knew I had paperwork to fill out. 10:30 comes and goes, and I'm still sitting in the waiting room. An elderly couple comes in about 10:55 AM, at 11:10 am they are taken to the back. I get up and ask the receptionist "what happening?". about the couple that was taken to the back before me. She informed me that they their appointment was before mine. I informed her that they were over 30 minutes late for their appointment, the receptionist tried to joke it off saying, "they weren't that late". so I sit down and wait longer. Finally it has become apparent to me that i wouldn't be able to see a doctor before my classes started, so i asked the receptionist to reschedule my appointment, and instead of rescheduling my appointment she gets up and walks to the back. I ask the other young lady who is sitting off to the left if she can reschedule my appointment, she tells me i have to wait for the other girl. What happened next has never happened to me before. The receptionist came back with a young man, who proceeds to tell me that the is super over booked, and I asked "why wasn't this relayed to the patients when we came in?". his answer was "I didn't think we had to". then he goes into some story about the doctor leaving the country so everyone is coming in to see him before he leaves and that the doctor is busy with 2 very important patients in the back so they don't know when the doctor will be able to see me. I asked for my appointment to be rescheduled and instead I was insulted to my face. I left after that and didn't reschedule. I will not see a Doctor who doesn't believe all his patients are important."
