"Due to the relocation of my workplace, I was looking for a doc to replace my current dermatologist in the Woodlands. A bit apprehensive but my expectations were exceeded by my visit. Office staff was very helpful and the doctor was a pleasure to meet and talk with. She was not in a hurry and took all the time necessary to hear questions and concerns. Also, explained who the pathology company was that they use and that I’d receive a call with results. Looking for a new dermatologist? I’d highly recommend Dr. Boulavsky. My wife and father in law will become patients in the near future. What a find!"

"I am giving 1 star because you can't give ZERO. The doctors at West Houston Dermatology are great. The Business Manager and business practices are terrible. I used them for several years and always had billing problems. They routinely require payment up front of more than the insurance co-pay. Several times I went in with EOB forms, proof of my payment, etc. and asked for refunds. They last time I was in they couldn't find $100 payment I had made at time of service. It just wasn't posted to my account. I had the charge slip with me to prove I had paid it. When I asked for a refund of my credit balance, they admitted there was a credit balance of several hundred dollars, but I could never get a refund. I even sent them a letter with supporting documentation showing all my visits, the amount paid at time of visit, the EOB amount, and noting the overcharge. I had documentation for all the amounts and included copies in the letter. I never heard back from them. I am taking my business elsewhere due to the terrible business practices."

"Medication was not sent to the pharmacy in a timely matter. The client suffers from severe atopic dermatitis and thought she would get her medication sent to the pharmacist the day of her appointment, or the morning after but the medication was not sent to the pharmacy and client is still suffering from itching and pain. The client was charged for the appointment and did not receive her medication that was stated would be sent to the pharmacy. The doctor also kept trying to give her medications that she stated will not work and would cause her pain to her skin. There was a miscommunication in prescribing the appropriate medication for the client. The client also is having trouble reaching the doctor inform them about her concerns. She is going to have to go to the office to tialk with the medical assistant and the doctor. "
