Dermatologists - Frisco, TX

"Made an appointment two weeks ago. Today, they call me to let me know that my insurance was not accepted. What?!!! I chose the Dr. from the list of my network doctors provided from Aetna website. I called Aetna and they reassured me that they were in my network. Called back Doctor's office and left a message, I have not heard from them since. I am not sure if they regularly check messages. They say they check insurance 24 hours before the actual appointment. Waiting 2 weeks to see an specialist and receiving a call a day before about insurance issues is very disappointing. It is sad that they don't check insurance thoroughly since they are in my network. They should inform patients about insurance issues at time of making the appointment. I had to make work arrangements and schedule an appointment with another Doctor. Weird, with this Doctor they told me right away that insurance was accepted and in network and I can be seen in two days! Office staff was very courteous and helpful in scheduling and verifying insurance! Both Doctors are listed in my Aetna's in-network list."

"Dr. Bhambri is an excellent doctor. He removed a malignant melanoma and referred me to the Dallas Cancer Hospital to have it surgically removed. He was supportive throughout the entire process. Since this surgery, he is working with me to skin check and remove any moles that could turn to cancer. I highly recommend him for a skin doctor. He performs most surgeries in his office, but will refer a patient that needs surgery."

"My appointment was at two. Finally at 1:20 I went to the desk they took someone before me that had a 215 appointment. Finally get into the office told me that I have cancer on my nose and that the doctor Wharton could take could do the surgery and she would be in to talk to me Well she proceeded not to come in and had to leave to pick up her children. How rude is that that she tells me I have cancer and then cannot see me to tell me in the next steps. I do not recommend this doctor. She is horrible. Very very bad bedside manner . "

"I saw a PA under Dr. Li and he was very knowledgeable, attentive, and answered all of my questions. I was given options for my issue and they treated it very quickly. A few reviews noted that the office staff were not friendly or disorganized, and I'd agree that some were not. A few were curt with their answers to my questions and my prescription ended up going to the incorrect pharmacy after I confirmed with them which one it was going to. I was satisfied with the PA and the treatment I received, but am reconsidering going back just due to the office staff I interacted with and the service level there."
