Orthopedists - Austin, TX

"My 1st visit was in Oct for knee pain experienced when bending it, being active, especially during jogs. Response was to put me on a Rx to manage the pain and that was the end of that visit. Office forgot to send Rx to pharmacy and I had to physically go into the their office since they wouldn't return my calls to get prescription sent. Asked for another appt with Dr. because I wasn't ok with a Rx to manage pain for the rest of my life and not have a definitive diagnosis. Pushed for an MRI. I again had to go into the office because they also forgot to send paperwork to Longhorn imaging. Got MRI at longhorn imaging and confirmed results sent to Dr. office. I called Dr. office for 3 weeks to get Dr to tell me the results. They never called back. Finally in mid-Dec someone picked up and I again pushed to be seen right away. I took a vacation day since they did have an opening and I was anxious to hear the results. Turns out I have a torn meniscus and requires surgery. I let him know I wanted to move forward with surgery. Dr said somethings needed to be done/prepped by his office, talks with insurance, and I should be hearing from Victoria soon. Still waiting to hear back - no returned calls, no email updates, no status, no acknowledgment of my calls. There is no online patient portal where I can track it either. It took about 3 months to get to the root cause which I insisted on, they are non-responsive, and because it overlaps the calendar year I'll have more out of pocket costs next year too. Dr and staff are nice but quality of care and service just isn't there. "

"Doctor Mundanthanam listened well, and gave a thorough exam. He understood the hand very well. Was concerned about me as a patient. Reception staff was a bit grumpy. Nursing staff were considerate."
