Family Medicine practitioners - Sylvania, OH

"Bedside manner is poor - she's abrupt, interrupts and wants to do more testing than what is needed. (Went in for a rash from sports and was asked to conduct tests to determine if I need more calcium/vitamin D when nothing indicated that necessary...) Processing through her office is very slow. Paper receipt for my taxes came from a book you can buy at Staples. Didn't want to schedule my next annual appointment because they don't like to schedule out that far. Unresponsive through electronic health record management system, office was extremely dated and concerned me from a cleanliness perspective. I witnessed her rudeness also to a pharm sales rep. Can't even call in a simple prenatal vitamin prescription refill (originated from her because I was trying to get pregnant when I was seeing her and my previous Dr. Recommended taking prenatal prior to becoming pregnant) without needing to be seen again (when OB has no issues and there's medical evidence of the need.) It's a vitamin...I'd rather go to urgent care for a no urgent issue than be seen here again while I shop for a new PCP."

"I love Dr. Sherman, but his office manager declined me as a patient over $80.00. I am an insured patient who would pay what I could but still owed 80. They wanted me to pay off my account in Dec. I already wasn't have a Christmas for my family and I was planning on paying it, but something came up with my daughter at school and took what I had left. When I went to my appoint in January they had cancelled it with out letting me know. I wasn't able to get my blood pressure medicine. So I have been with out for over a yr now. "

He knows medicine, he listens, and he appropriately addresses patient concerns while appropriately setting medical priorities. He actually took time to talk with me!!! I give this practice an A+ rating. Should I ever have medical issues develop, I will be glad Dr Welt and his staff are part of my care team. Both my thumbs are up to this doc - he actually provides patient care!!"
