"I was referred to Dr. Imar to do a psychological evaluation for bariatric surgery, and he was one of the two doctors that was approved under my insurance. I understand that he has a specific form he needs to go through to submit to the medical center for the surgery, but the entire process was very cold to me. He was not interested in my own thoughts and emotions on what I was there for, and scoffed and raised eyebrows at some of the things I had to say which weren't easy to talk about. I've been seeing a different counselor for some time for other unrelated issues, and she has never made me feel even remotely like this guy did. I left feeling disheartened, genuinely hurt by him chuckling at me, and like I got nothing out of it. He was clearly not interested in me and I am not interested in going back to see him. I also honestly could have answered every question he asked me for this process in an online form by myself and not had the humiliation of someone judging me about it all, and making me feel worthless. "

"This provider had no bedside manners whatsoever. She was curt (and did not care about my concerns) and all she saw was the mental illness not me as the person. I would not recommend her."
