"Very unprofessional staff! Look else where for another practice. I was scheduled for a colonoscopy on 10/26/2022 at 10:00 AM. I followed the clinics instruction of liquid diet one day prior to the procedure. I’ve arranged for transportation because it states in their packet that you can’t drive or take a taxi. I don’t know about the others, but I have no one just sitting around waiting to drive me around town. Schedules had to be rearranged to accommodate taking me and picking me up. At noon today, 10/25/2022, I received a voicemail telling me that they would see me tomorrow at 12:00 PM, not 10:00 AM. I was livid because: 1. They failed to call me days in advance to let me know they changed my schedule and ask if I would still be available. 2. I have not eaten the whole day and for them to change the schedule at the last minute is just so unacceptable. Also the surgery center provided conflicting instructions, I was told not to eat after midnight or 8 hours prior to the procedure, which wasn’t what was on the pamphlet. 3. Their packet states if you cancel, they will charge you with $100 which is not billable to insurance even if it’s their fault. The question I have is how many patients have they done this to? Are they just making money of the $100 cancellation that’s why they just move schedule around without asking the patient if the schedule would work-transportation, etc.? You try to call their office and no one picks up. They better not send me a bill for $100 for cancellation based on their unprofessional business practice. Practices like these must be held accountable for their inconsiderate actions. They should deduct the $100 from their staff who booked the appointment and who moved the appointment without consulting with their patients if the schedule would still work. What a shame, the doctor seemed nice but his incompetent staff is a poor reflection of his practice. P.S. On the day of my consultation several weeks ago, I waited more than an hour to see the doctor. I think that because providers are not respectful of patients time, yet they want to charge you if you are late or cancel, providers should also be charged every 15 minutes that they make you wait. "

He does not hide behind euphemisms to make you feel better, but, rather, he tells you like it is in a way that is not harsh. I respect his opinions and feel confident in the treatment he has prescribed for me."

"Dr. Ricker sent me to Steinberg to have a special test done on the July 23rd. And to this date This(Today’s date8/What’s today’s date 8/14 I have never heard my test results back. I have called three times to get my results from my test and have never received a phone call back. Actually, the first time I needed an appointment I had to go to make my appointment because nobody answered the phone. I should’ve known that not to bother so this is my advice don’t bother going to see him or this office. It’s nice and close to the hospital so it makes it very convenient but it’s not if you don’t get phone calls back and your test results. "

"The staff at the institute of hematology is great. The previous doctors I have seen there were all amazing. This doctor however was awful, he wouldn't listen and even shut me down to just talk about greek food instead of my medical issues. I have several blood clot gene mutations, which have been tested for several times nearly 30 years, and he still said there was no way I had that many. He disregarded my medical records completely and my active clotting. I only saw this poor excuse for a doctor once and then changed providers immediately."
