Counselors - Mays Landing, NJ

"I had the unfortunate experience of bringing my child to Care for counseling. I cannot emphasize enough, that she truly should not be in practice. She did not empathize or offer support. In fact when my 11 year old child opened up to Clare about her traumatic experiences with her father, she suggested that my child was wrong in her experience. Even saying that my daughter misunderstood her father’s inappropriate behavior. Clare has no clinical skills and was not an advocate for my child. Clare chose to believe the personality disordered father and accused me of “coaching” my child. This was very upsetting for my child and she felt alone and uncomfortable meeting with Clare. My daughter was required to see Clare for approximately 6 months. She did not try to build trust or a level of comfort. She appeared glued to her chair, not getting up to even greet her client. She did nothing to try and put my child at ease and build a relationship. I am a mental health professional and my professional opinion is that this woman should not be in practice. "
