"I waited in a small room for a while before the doctor was able to see me. I was concerned about skin cancer. She barely looked at my skin and was more interested in getting my records from my previous dermatologist (a record of 8 years ago!). she pointed out at areas that were not concerning at all and didnt question the areas that look more concerning. Overall she didnt seem or sound having any expertise at all in this area. So I really don't recommend her if you are concerned about skin cancer and such. "

What is Dermatology?

Dermatological Immunology is a subspecialty that deals specifically with immune related problems of the skin, such as eczema or lupus.
Pediatric dermatologists treat newborns and children with skin disorders. They also provide help to families with inherited skin problems.
Mohs surgeons are specialized dermatologists who can remove skin cancers using a microsurgery known as Mohs technique, where slides of the tissue are examined as they are removed. This is a very exact surgery with an extremely high cure rate.

The skin is extremely important: it covers and protects everything in the body. A dermatologist helps keep it healthy, as well as looking and feeling good.
