Dr. Martin paid close attention to my disparate concerns and dealt with each issue by clearly how to deal with each issue. If I could give Dr. Martin a “10” I would."

"I do not usually do reviews but the service I received was exemplary! I was experiencing intense pain in my large toe so phoned the office at Wilmington Health where my GP is located at their new office in Leland. They were able to give me an appointment with Dr. Southerland for that same afternoon and scheduled xrays immediately prior. I used the electronic kiosk to check in and was called back for xrays within 10 mins then back to the exam room within another 10 mins which was 20 mins ahead of the scheduled appointment! The doctors assistant asked all the pertinent background and symptom questions. Dr.. Southerland came in 10 mins later asked a few more questions performed her exam and made a diagnosis before ever looking at the xrays. Review of the xrays confirmed her diagnosis of gout. She explained the options, shot into the joint or oral steroid prescription, and that the shot was extremely painful but would result in the quickest relief. She was not wrong about the pain but within 4 hours it had gone from a 10+ level of pain to a 4 and to nearly a zero by morning. Her no nonsense and frank approach is refreshing. Her readily apparent knowledge and skill as a physician is greatly appreciated! The office staff have always been professional and helpful and the facilities are outstanding! "

"Dr. Rineer was very thorough in his assessment. Everything I had to say was heard out and noted. After the nurse left I waited for him for no more than 5 minutes. His reporting and notes on our appointment were already completed and emailed to me before I even got home. Great experience!"

"Dr. Hess and her nurse are wonderful. The biggest problem is the insurance and billing staff. They yelled and told me Dr. Hess was not on the Aetna plan. I showed them where she was in network. They then told me I could file my own insurance. They also said the bill needed to be paid before I could see her again. After the insurance paid all I owed was $25.00! The hassle and treatment was not worth all the drama."
