"Dr. Schreiber monitored my broken elbow for 8 months. (Insurance wouldn't allow me to have surgery for at least 6 months post-injury.) After 8 months, he did the surgery to repair my elbow. His professionalism combined with his friendliness reassured me that I'd chosen the correct doctor for my problem. He was knowledgeable and caring. 5 stars. "

"Dr Isbell had done a great job operating on a torn meniscus on my right knee in 2015 so I went back to him in February of 2024 for the same condition on my left knee. The result was the same, I felt better immediately after the surgery and was walking around the same day. Dr Isbell is good communicator, is empathetic, and makes you feel heard. The Raleigh Ortho surgery center isn't in network for my insurance provider so that part sucks and it would have been great if I had been able to have the surgery someplace in network. No complaints otherwise, though."

"I went to Dr. Comstock after I hurt my foot playing soccer. Immediately, I could not walk on my foot so thankfully my husband's 14 year old sister had crutches she wasn't using as well as a boot. I borrowed these as I couldn't even rest a sheet on my foot at night. This went on for 2 weeks hoping I would be able to bear weight. After still no changes I went to this doctor. He immediately came in and ask what I wanted from him as the x-ray did not show any breaks. I told him how I hurt myself and he stated there is no way I could have done any severe damage that way therefore I was fine. He then preceded to take my foot in both hands and move, bend, and pressure his fingers into it. I was squirming and informed him that "that hurts!" He stated "there is no reason that should hurt" and stated that after 2 weeks of not walking on it my foot was "dying" which is why it looked the way it did. He said he can order an MRI for me if I wanted but that nothing would come of it. I asked politely to order it for me (as I grew up a gymnast and I'm quite good on handling pain) and I also had a wedding in 6 weeks and needed to be able to walk. He ordered an MRI for the wrong foot that luckily his staff caught the mix up. Fast forward, got the MRI and went back for a follow up. He stated that I broke my 2nd cuneiform and that I would be out of the boot in 4 weeks. I told him that even walking in the immobilizing boot that it felt like my big toe was being pulled away from my foot when walking. My husband (being a soccer player) asked if I could possibly have a Lisfranc injury. Dr. Comstock said "not a chance". Went back for a final x-ray 4 weeks later where he cleared me to go back to normal. 2 months down the road I'm still in a lot of pain and my foot is turning purple just standing on it. I go to get a second opinion followed by a CT scan. This stated I clearly had a Lisfranc injury and not only broke the 2nd cuneiform but also the 1st cuneiform and now have 2 avulsion fractures from the Lisfranc ligament. I asked for the MRI results that Dr. Comstock had received which stated on there about 5 times to be on the lookout for a Lisfranc injury and to follow up with a CT scan to rule out as such. (This was the report Dr. Comstock saw moments before I asked him if I could have a Lisfranc injury). I then had to have surgery and a screw put in my foot to heal the Lisfranc injury. This included NO weight bearing for 6 weeks followed by therapy. This happened in September 2016 and now, June 2017 I am still recovering because I was misdiagnosed by Dr. Comstock because he did not give me the time of day or care to listen to how badly I had hurt myself. Instead I was brushed off from the moment I walked in his door. I highly recommend to pursue any other doctor for any injuries to your foot (I hear he likes working on ankles but NOT feet)."
